We don't call them admission counselors for nothing. They're here to guide you through the process and they truly want to help you and your family make the best decision possible for your future.

Gretchen Herbst, Director of Admission

Gretchen has been building boarding communities through forging relationship with families internationally and domestically for 8 years. An avid swimmer, Gretchen has even served a swimming coach. Her natural warmth and bright smile always make visitors feel welcome and completely at home.

Emily Wilkinson, Associate Admission Director

Emily joined the admission team a year ago and brought with her a witty sense of humor and infectious laugh. Her advisees will tell you that she loves to talk about the UVA basketball team just as much as she loves to support the SMS girls. When she's not greeting families in the admission office or cheering on the Scottie soccer team, she can be found camping or on her family's boat. As a true outdoorsy type, she feels lucky to be able to take advantage of all the "rivah" has to offer.

Natasha Kollaros Laster '93, Assistant Director of Admission, Dean of Residential Life

Natasha completely captures the spirit of St. Margaret's through the many roles she plays here: alumna, counselor, dorm parent, admissions officer and teacher. You'll notice her enthusiasm for and breadth of knowledge about our school the moment you meet her, not to mention her sharp wit and warm personality. While she's passionate about SMS, her true loves are her husband and her beautiful daughter.

Jessica Goodman, Assistant Director of Admission

Jessica may be new to St. Margaret's, but she's no stranger to the independent school world. She brings a fresh, dynamic outlook to the admissions team and is eager to share the SMS experience with prospective students and their families through her domestic travel.

Brenda Davis, Admission Administrative Assistant

As the Admission Administrative Assistant, Brenda keeps the Admission Office running smoothly by maintaining the admission database, managing correspondence, and helping to coordinate on-campus interviews for prospective students. When she's not working in the Admission Office, you'll find her in the kitchen baking, watching The Dallas Cowboys and spoiling her grandchildren.
