Be connected.

We don't just read about other countries, we visit them. We don't just feel bad about the poor and underserved, we help them. Every February, faculty teams teach hands-on, one-week courses both on and off campus that are completely different from our regular courses. This “minimester” allows us to immerse ourselves in a topic, a foreign culture or a service opportunity so that we can understand it by experiencing it.

We can choose what or where to explore during minimester. Here are some examples:

  • Scotties in Space,
  • Be All You Can Become: A Workshop for Physcially Healthy, Active Teens
  • Modern Women's Survival Guide
  • Community Service in the Dominican Republic
  • Educational trips abroad in Spain, Morocco, Egypt and China, to name a few.
